Enemies of Humanity

THE AMUR
The Amur were once the caretakers and guardians of the mortal Races of Aelamos. Their purpose was to be mentors, guides, and defenders of the plane and the people that would be created by the Eternals. They were made to be opposite counterparts to the Eternals, and thus had no access to any magical capabilities. They were gifted with the knowledge to use the natural resources of Aelamos to their fullest extent, and used these gifts to make astounding creations. They created great technological advancements, marvels of engineering and infrastructure, and shared all their knowledge with the mortal Races. The Amur spread their knowledge freely to humanity, and for a long while fulfilled their duty. Through their hubris and other influence, they came to instigate a conflict with the Eternals and humanity. They are commonly thought to be unkillable as most conventional weaponry does not seem to harm them, and their opposition to the Eternals has rendered them immune to magic.

THE DUNRIC
More colloquially known as Demons, these beings from another plane of existence first made their appearance at the start of the War for Supremacy. They are often characterized by horns on their head, or runes on their armour, which are said to keep them from accidentally being sent back to their plane. They have worked closely with the Amur ever since their appearance, acting as their primary footsoldiers in the various conflicts they have been a part of. They enter the plane once a year in force, and that month is a time of major trials for everyone.

THE UNDEAD
The living dead are not a new occurrence on Aelamos, but the result of a pact as old as time between the Primals and the Eternal Soldas that permitted the Spirits of the Primals to inhabit the body of someone unfortunate enough to meet their demise in the wilderness to return them to the nearest town so they could be put to rest. However, times change, and now powerful and forbidden magic grants those of impure and corrupt morality the ability to raise the dead to serve them. These Necromancers generally hold no regard for the bodies they enslave, raising them from graves, tombs and battlefields. Undead created this way are far more dangerous than those guided home by the Primals, some even being able to retain higher levels of intellect and possessing an unrelenting bloodlust and desire to hunt and kill the living.
