History of Mirokath
Age of Creation, the “First Age”
0: Aelamos flickers into existence. Primals appear and make the land hospitable to sustain life.
- Eternals appear and begin to populate Aelamos with the Races of humanity, Amur appear and begin to teach these Races how to survive the environment and act as their caretakers.
2: The Amur teach humanity the principles of gathering and building, and share the vast prospects of technological advancements with them. The Eternals mentor humanity in the way of harnessing their innate magic.
50: The mortal Races, having learned much from the Amur and the Eternals, begin to explore the lands they inhabit, using what the Amur have taught them to build small outposts of civilization for themselves.
189: A Common Language is established by Aria, Penorial, Vumella and the Amur and adapted by each of the mortal Races.
200: Construction of the 4 major cities of the Eternals is complete. Ganghae, Lumeria, Venga and Kravis become the capitols of each respective region. These are the first trade hubs set up to completely unite the Races.
Age of Worship
250: The Races of Aelamos begin to revere the Eternals and worship them as Gods.
251: The Races of Aelamos, still working harmoniously with the Amur, develop their own styles of technology.
Age of Strife
438: Lumeria, Ganghae, Venga, Kravis become more segregated and the mortal Races are somewhat split. Orcs take Venga, Elves take Lumeria, Dwarves take Kravis, Humans take Ganghae. This causes a lot of friction between the Races and fighting for land begins. While the regions stay largely the same because the common people just want to live in peace, the capitols occasionally change hands through the course of battle.
551: A Brimholm man named Alric Atmos is born.
559: Tybalt Greenweave is born.
566: Humans take Lumeria
570: With the semi constant exchanging of the capitols, the unique Racial languages have widely stopped being spoken and the tradition of speaking them while in segregated groups to keep their identities alive is largely forgotten.
571: Lyra Clearwater is born.
572: Alric and his small band of mercenaries are contracted by the Lumerian King Cyreth Aurellion to help bolster the ranks of the Lumerian military. Alric is a brilliant tactician and begins turning the tides of battle instantly in Lumerian favour.
574: Alric is appointed Knighthood for his many victories where the Lumerian soldiers were unable to gain any ground. He participates in a campaign against a tribe of violent Northern settlers who have been burning villages, slaughtering Lumerians and entrenched themselves in a well defended fort named Conmoor Castle.
577: Alric is appointed a Lordship by King Cyreth Aurellion for his outstanding deeds as a knight. He is given Conmoor Castle in Northern Lumeria as a signification of his title.
581: Lord Alric marries Princess Seraphine Aurellion.
587: After the death of King Aurellion, Alric becomes King of Lumeria.
598: Queen Seraphine Atmos dies.
Age of War
Year 600: The War for Supremacy begins. Alric declares himself the one true King of Mirokath and threatens war on all those that oppose his rule. Ganghae, Venga and Kravis stand opposed. The Amur subjugate and enslave both the Gigoth and Krogoliath Orcs in one night. Communication with Achriddat stops and mages become inexplicably weaker all across Mirokath. Arcanists and spellcrafters begin working on a structure of magic that will later become Formula magic.
Year 646: The Gigoth and Krogoliath Orcs are liberated from the Amur and join the war effort against Alric and Dunric forces.
Year 648: Nine powerful warriors rise up against Alric and the Amur. The Heroes’ Campaign begins. The group known as the Heroes of Nine is established. Aria, Penoriel, and Vumella give powerful Relics to these nine heroes in an attempt to stave off guilt from their association with this war.
- The Kravan 8th, 9th, and 10th Companies are almost completely wiped out during the battle at the fall of Kravis. A lone squad from the 10th Company secure the Dwarven fort Bhar Folin and defend the area from a complete takeover.
- A ritual is performed in the Songwood Forest that is meant to create a zone that prevents even the Amur from entering certain areas. The ritual was sabotaged and ultimately failed, the resulting energy crystalizing the majority of the forest.
- The Heroes of Nine induct several new members and become known as Silvermane’s Grand Company.
- A major battle is won at Oguk’s Bastion, with Ganghae Allied Forces being reinforced by several members of Silvermane’s Grand Company.
- The Avatars of Vumella and Verona summon brave warriors from the Ganghae Allied Forces to undertake a ceremony called “The Black Pledge” and the first iteration of the Order of Black Wardens is established.
- Conmoor, the family home of king Alric, is taken by the Ganghae Allied Forces.
- The Ganghae Allied Forces siege Lumeria in winter, attacking from the South and the West. Forces are quickly moved from the West to the Southern assault as the outer walls are breached.
- The Silvermane Grand Company enters the citadel in the capitol city of Lumeria and defeats Alric in battle.
Year 650: The last of the Lumerian loyalist remnants are destroyed and the war is officially over.
- Damien Silvermane and Tybalt Greenweave are appointed as co-rulers of Lumeria.
Year 651: With Alric defeated, people turn their aggression towards the Orcish races for their actions while under the rule of the Amur.
- Gregory Erisbane is granted a lordship and the position of Captain of the 3rd Company in Ganghae for his exemplary service with the Silvermane Grand Company.
Age of Repair, the “Second Age”
Year 653: Dignitaries from each of the Races on Mirokath convene for an event that became known as the “Council at Atheling Pass” happens. This Council makes a unanimous ruling to pardon the Gigoth and Krogoliath Orcs for their transgressions against humanity due to a decision being made under the threat of genocide by the Amur. They are given land on opposite ends of the continent to keep them apart. Mirokath is redistributed into the new home regions for each Race to rebuild and inhabit. This council votes to rename certain areas.
- King Mistleaf is given the throne of Lumeria
- Ganghae decides it best to be led by a ruling council instead of a single king.
- Damien Silvermane retires his military position and resumes his lordship of Greyholt.
- Tybalt retires to his ancestral home in Lumeria.
- Glasha Longfang settles Gigoth territory and begins a tradition called “The Eternal War”.
- Urmuk Fireborn settles Krogoliath territory and retires there.
- Gervais Ortega becomes the lord of Port Taneiri.
- Styg Stonegrey rebuilds Kravis and rejects his nobility.
- Soldin Battlebeard rebuilds Kravis and rejects his nobility.
- Lyra Clearwater becomes a diplomat and emissary for the Camdene in the courts of Lumeria.
Year 655: A group of leaders from various organizations convene at a summit in Ganghae to form the first Societal Council. These organizations were ratified and given certain liberties by the ruling council of Ganghae.
Year 661: Races have moved to their respective countries and begin to return to an age of prosperity for the mortal Races, however the continent to the east still remains unreachable and mages remain unable to contact them. The Vengan Navy remarks that the eastern sea is still too unsafe to travel.
Year 663: Continent-wide reconstruction begins on Lumeria and Kravis. Restoration is expected to be completed in just over a decade.
Year 673: Kravis is finally rebuilt.
Year 676: Soldin Battlebeard is slain in battle with a Goblin horde.
Year 677: Other Planes are mostly catalogued and a method of consistent travel between them is discovered. This method is kept secret to everyone but the highest authorities in Lumeria.
Year 678: Styg Stonegrey dies of poisoning in a Dwarven court.
Year 680: Construction of “The Great Watchtowers” is finished by the Gigoth across Mirokath.
Year 688: Urmuk Fireborn dies of natural causes.
Year 692: Damien Silvermane dies of natural causes.
Year 705: Lyra Clearwater is slain in battle with monstrous creatures.
Year 714: Taneiri captains attempt to sail east to Achriddat. The ships are never seen again.
Year 725: Kravis and Ganghae work together to establish trade routes.
Year 738: Kravis sets up embassies and ambassadors in every major city. Other races soon follow suit.
Year 739: Ganghae has embassies set up in all of the major cities.
Year 740: The Gigoth negotiate for armed battalions to be held at Gigoth embassies. Only Lumeria allows it.
Year 750: The Lettercarriers are established by the Lumerian Monarchy. Using a combination of accessible Atavist spells and enchanted tools to deliver letters with astonishing and never before seen speed.
Year 757: Farron’s Gate is renamed Atheneum.
Year 777: The Taneiri attempt to sail east to Achriddat. One returns, telling tales of large sea monsters.
Year 789: Cullkin doctors produce and publish a standard for medicine. The continent implements it.
Year 804: Land dispute with Ganghae and Lumeria over Volthug’s Rest. The line of Volthug is not pleased.
Year 806: Volthug’s Rest is deemed to be Lumerian. The settlement is torn down by Chief Volthug as she leaves.
Year 814: The Church of Mythnera withdraws from the Allied Church.
Year 821: Planar travel is established as a costly but effective method to gather magical reagents thanks to Lumerian researchers.
Year 836: The Taneiri attempt to sail west. The expedition returns, having found nothing.
Year 837: First Anselm Dwarven queen takes power.
Year 840: The Avatar of Mythnera reveals a face to the Allied Church, signalling their re-entry.
Year 852: Ganghae engages in a project to strengthen their walls and defend their borders better, citing Vengan rising tensions.
Year 859: Cullkin Dwarves usurp the Anselm queen in Kravis and take over power. Borders are clarified along Ganghae’s East and South.
Year 880: More societies become ratified and begin their work in Ganghae.
Year 885: A Trade Treaty is signed between Venga and Ganghae.
Year 901: More planes are discovered. Planar travel is heavily regulated, as is recommended by The Avatar of Vumella.
Year 920: King Alric’s shield is stolen from Ganghae vaults.
Year 925: The Taneiri attempt another expedition East, no boats return.
Year 929: Negotiations with Ganghae, Venga and Lumeria start. The goal is for sponsored settlements to be considered Ganghae’s by law. Venga declines to participate.
Year 940: Every archived list of First Age magic as well as every First Age spell is lost or stolen.
Year 950: Ganghae launches an expedition to find the Goblin home city. No actionable results are found.
Age of Unrest
Year 960: The Amur return from another plane, changed and corrupted by the chaotic and evil energies from that plane, leading armies of Dunric and Demons. They strike from seemingly nowhere overnight, attacking Lumeria, Venga, Kravis and Ganghae. Each of those cities is completely destroyed, with the exception of Ganghae, which they are unable to even get close to due to the powerful magic protecting the area.This seige became known as “Leodana”, or “The Assault on Mirokath”. This is the beginning of the “Great War”.
Year 961: Vengans manage to push the Dunric and Amur forces out of their region, but refuse to rebuild or live in the city of Venga until the Amur and Dunric are off the continent. Most Vengans set up small settlements around the border of Venga.

The residents of the Taneiri isles once again refuse to get involved with the conflict of the mainland, and aggressively patrol the archipelago.
Year 965: The tradition of the Naming Ceremony becomes commonplace across Mirokath. Dunric attacks are lower in areas where it is used.
Year 966: Humanity has begun to learn how to deal with the Amur, who seem to have a smaller force than before. They attack and retreat calculatedly, employing guerilla tactics almost as if they are toying with their foe. Humanity learns that the Amur can sense large gatherings of people, and as such do what they can to unite while spread out, rebuild their homes, and continue a semblance of normal life.
Year 999: A Taneiri fleet under the command of Captain Harvey Fairbanks sails East.
Year 1000: Game setting starts.
- The 42nd expedition force from Ganghae is dispatched to establish a settlement closer to Lumeria, to be designated Lothre Crossroads.
- A road is established to connect Venga and Qapius passing through Glasha's Post.
- The 42nd expedition force from Ganghae in conjunction with the Ganghae 10th Company reclaim Lothre Crossroads from the Dunric.
Year 1001: The Ganghae Military holds a celebration in Qapius in recognition of the valour of the 42nd expedition force from Ganghae in reclaiming Lothre Crossroads.
- A contract is struck with the lords of the elemental planes of Earth, Fire, Air and Water to help reduce the resource strain on Mirokath.
- A refugee camp is established near Lothre Crossroads to host travelers who have lost their homes to Dunric attacks. This camp is later overrun by Dunric forces and most of its occupants lose their lives.
- The mass deaths of Dunric on Aelamos have corrupted the Primals, causing them to be aggressive and volatile.
- The Amur use the Dunric to complete a ritual that severs the connection between all mages and their ability to cast magic. This event becomes known as the Arcane Cataclysm.
- Lord Farron, the original founder of the magic schools in Athenaeum who went missing after the War for Supremacy, returns.
- The corrupted Primal of Rot becomes the Primal of Death and a fight breaks out in Lothre Crossroads. The townsfolk are able to defeat the Primal of Death and free the Primals from their corruption.
- Glowing totems are erected across Mirokath by Lord Farron and several groups of brave adventurers. Mages across Mirokath are made aware that a new curriculum of magic will be taught in the coming year.
Year 1002: Dunric barricades surrounding Lothre Crossroads were destroyed to allow merchant caravans more access to the area.
- Several local skirmishes were undertaken in the Lothre Crossroads area and despite the difficulty they were completed successfully.
