Penoriel, Patron of the Anselm

Penoriel
Hammer for Humanity
Domains: Law, Order, Craft
Holy Symbol: Gold Crossed Hammers

“The sound of order is a hammer and nail, the sound of law is a chorus of voices.”

Penoriel was the first Eternal to make contact with humanity and the creator of the Anselm Dwarves. She is commonly depicted as an Anselm woman clad in simple clothes, a leather apron, and a toolbelt with a large spectrum of tools on it. Some common tools on her belt are typically, a hammer, a chisel, and a set of shears. She has made most of the legendary implements the Eternals wield, as well as the walls of the city of Ganghae. It was her, alongside Aria, Synne, and Verona that started the initiative to bring humanity on Mirokath together, starting trade and cooperation.

Tenets
One of the first goals Penoriel had when she came into her own as an Eternal was to make sense of all of the disorder around her. To do that, she gathered together like minded Eternals of each Race to help bring the world together as a community. It was then that humanity was contacted and the work to bring order began. This driving force for unity and order became her identity at large. She became lauded as a symbol for order by the time this work is done and is her primary tenet.

“Offer structure where there is chaos.”

Once order had been mostly established, she looked to make it easier to maintain. With help from Aria, she cut to the core of the problem quickly. Resources and their acquisition had been and will be a major point of contention in the lives of all, and Penoriel sought to make it easier. Her, Aria, and some of the brightest minds humanity had at the time established guidelines for fair trade. These were founded on sensibility of value and honesty in trade. These guidelines evolved into a more rigid form with penalties for breaking them, and such the first laws were formed. This formed the second portion of Penoriel’s identity, and the public association of her and law was done.

“Institute laws so that societies' fields may be even.”

After order had been brought, and law had been established, Penoriel looked upon the land and was satisfied with what she had made. Still she felt that there was more to do, but she had no basis for what was next to be done. It was then that she was inspired by the works of the Amur. The moving parts and interesting methods intrigued her. She mimicked them until she could produce works that rivaled theirs, only then was she satisfied with the works she had made. Her pride in her own work was inspiring, and this inspiration turned to reverence. Her last tenet came about from her own words on the subject.

“Create, so that your touch outlasts you.”

Clergy
The Clergy of the Church of Penoriel are preachers first and foremost, and consider their job to speak about the goodness of the order and law that their patron established. Their dedication to the spirit and intent of Penoriel’s tenets is as strong as their dedication to the words. As such, most of the Clergy have a profession outside of their clergy status, and this is encouraged by the Church. They keep professions to keep in touch with the world around them. The only profession that they will not touch is any sort of position of governance. They refuse to join the government because they feel their role is to preserve the sanctity of the law, and are not concerned with the law’s enforcement.

The Church

The Church of Penoriel has a presence of some sort in every community that is big enough to warrant a church. While a settlement is new, the Church of Penoriel will assist in its growth by providing services that are needed until such a time comes where the community is ready to take over running said service. They offer services that range from crafting services of all kinds, to mediation services, to a simple town notice board. These actions seem standardised, and are pretty much the same across all of Mirokath and are the shining example of unified Church services. The Church has no sects aside from an unnamed sect whose sole purpose is to make sure the Church remains impartial.
